Since opening its gates in 2006, the Lazy Moose RV Park has served as a welcoming stop for travelers exploring the heart of Interior Alaska. Nestled among the trees along the Richardson Highway near Fairbanks, our campground has long provided visitors with a peaceful retreat to unwind, reconnect with nature, and experience the serene beauty that makes Alaska truly unforgettable.

Whether guests are heading north to Fairbanks, embarking on an adventure along the Alaska Highway, or simply seeking a relaxing spot beside the Tanana River, Lazy Moose RV Park has always been more than just an overnight stop. It has become a cherished destination for both travelers and locals—a place to slow down, soak in the scenery, and create lasting memories.

In 2025, we were honored to take on the role of new owners and caretakers of this special property. While we maintain the tranquil atmosphere that guests have cherished over the years, we've also been investing in thoughtful improvements throughout the park—from refreshing full-hookup RV sites and common areas to expanding our camp store and enhancing the overall guest experience. Each enhancement is made with the aim of creating a campground that feels welcoming, comfortable, and unmistakably Alaskan.

Today, the Lazy Moose RV Park features full-hookup RV sites, tent camping, clean facilities, hot showers, laundry, Wi-Fi, fire pits, and a well-stocked camp store offering Lazy Moose swag, souvenirs, cold drinks, ice cream treats, and more. Most importantly, we pride ourselves on genuine hospitality. Whether you're staying for one night or making us your home base for a week filled with fishing, wildlife viewing, hiking, or exploring the wonders of Interior Alaska, we're dedicated to helping you maximize your adventure.

Our prime location provides easy access to Harding and Birch Lakes, known for some of Alaska's best fishing, while still offering the peaceful, wooded retreat that many travelers desire.
